The tradition of dressing tables in Russia
In the Peter the Great era, these products became a symbol of refined ladies in noble society. Each lady had her own table imported from Europe. Soon, they began to be made in Russia. They were made of expensive wood and decorated with inlay, which made each piece truly luxurious. Owning such a table emphasized the status and taste of its owner.
By the 19th century, with the expansion of urban culture, dressing tables became more practical. This time was marked by the appearance of tables with swinging mirrors and built-in drawers for storing jewelry and cosmetics. During the Soviet period, dressing tables became better known as “trumeau”. The classic look of the table was slightly modified according to modernist traditions.
With the evolution of minimalism, the lines of the dressing table became clearer, and the shapes became more functional. The mirrors became larger and the design more laconic, reflecting the desire for practicality and versatility.

Why is it important to have a vanity table in the interior?
In modern interiors, it is very necessary to consider the space for each member of the family. For a man it can be a working office, and for a woman — an area with a dressing table. It can be a dressing room, part of a bedroom or her private room.
In this area, you can organise the storage of jewelry, cosmetics, and accessories to quietly prepare for an evening out for dinner or relax after a meeting. The dressing table epitomises a woman's space and creates a sense of cosiness.

The dressing table can be placed near a window to allow access to natural light during the day. Thanks to the fact that the table is not bulky, it can fit into any space. And it will look spectacular in any case, because the leather finish gives it a unique charm.
